Dream Apartment

I am guilty of many things, but if there is one repeated offense that I'm prone it, it's worrying too much.  Worrying too much about the what-ifs, worrying too much about the details, worrying too much about things that I don't necessarily need to worry about ... yet.

However, sometimes a little bit of worrying can be a good thing.  Despite still being in high school, I'm already making plans regarding moving out, even though I still have plenty of time to prepare before my parents give me the boot.  I used to be deathly scared of moving out, but after compiling a list (seven pages long and growing) of things I'll bring and things I need, I feel a little bit better.  Crazy?  Definitely.  I'm aware no one can be 100% prepared for as big as a transition as this one.  Mistakes will be made.  Lessons will be learned. But now that I'm feeling more confident about what to expect, my nerves have been eased.

Sure, I have the "necessities" compiled onto that monster list, however, one could dream about how to furnish an apartment with an unlimited budget.  Here are some things I'd do to an apartment given the money ...

Miscellaneous Updates

With school and winter in full-swing it's hard to do more sewing and activities, and as a result, not much content to put on this blog.

However, I have been doing a better job at not procrastinating as much during this semester of school, and I'm doing my best to balance out coursework, free time spent on the Internet, and free time spent on other hobbies (such as sewing, cooking, etc.).

Under the cut, I have also compiled some big plans for 2014 ...

Bat Fit 2014: Setting Goals and Intentions

The new year has arrived, and we all know what that means -- time to kick-off some Bat Fit goodness!  For my followers who are new and have stumbled across this blog, take a gander to The Professor's blog -- the picture above is linked to her blog post concerning the Bat Fit kick-off.  I participated in Bat Fit last year, although I hardly updated it on my blog, and overall was not happy with my lack of participation.

Which gets us started on setting goals and intetions!

Thoughts on Being Bald

Shortly after Thanksgiving, I decided to do something I was planning on doing for a long time . . . shaving my head.

Not a stylistic cut, not most of the hair ... all of it.

Sneek Peak

It's definitely been awhile.  To cut a long story short, this is what happens when you opt for a lot of challenging courses.  I've had zero time to create art unless I need to for a course (which is kind of sad, I will admit).  I'm trying to take more initiative and get my creative butt in gear to make more, and hopefully I'll crank out a few sewing projects once winter break comes (in December).

I drew a simple sketch for something I'm planning to do.  No telling when I'll be able to execute it, but it seems pretty easy . . .

On The Farm

My mum is a farmhand at an organic local farm that's about 26 miles outside of our town.  This is my first time visiting the farm: my motivation?  I wanted a taste of what it was like to spend a day on the farm, but more than that . . . well, you'll find out under the break!

Goodies Haul

Lately I've accumulated some "pretty shinys" and I thought I would share.  These objects will be featured on the blog in the future at some point, I can guarantee . . .
